Evaluation

Film festival

For this project we were introduced to a new experience of recreating a film scene from a chosen script of our choice. I had chosen the first script as it suited my situation and I had an interest in it. script one was a horror script about a teen in her/his room receiving unexpected events starting from possible prank calls and ending in a suspenseful intruder in the house.

Investigating audio/sound

On this page I analysed what sound is and the categories this falls into. I analysed a scene describing different audio/sounds within the scene. I explained what diegetic and non-diegetic sounds are and explained Foley, dialogue, ambience etc. on the sound page I have included multiple practical examples of the descriptions I gave on the precious page. I included information on sound bridges and gave a scene from the matrix to practically describe this. in detail I described dialogue talking about dubbing and practical audio recordings. I created a 30 sec cutaway scene visuals in premiere pro and described the process.

Visual/scene analysis

on this page I have analysed in detail the different visual aspects of a scene using a scene from now you see me 2. I explained the importance of each of the aspects and how they are incorporated into this scene to have a impact. on the next part of the analysis I have analysed three different scenes from different genres and completely different and unique visuals.

Final video

my final video was successful in many ways. it had many different aspects that went to plan. the sound was synced and to a high quality with dialogue, Foley, ambience etc. this all met to a high standard with the visuals. the visuals were on point and for some i had to retake them to fit in to a suitable quality. however an overall view of my final video it went successful with the theme of horror implicitly and explicitly shown. I improvised the script quite a bit to make it more fancy and grasping of attention some things I included are intruder being in the house, a slight bit of comedy and other basic aspects.

Pre-production

on this page I have different documents that support and have helped me plan through step by step on my next task to complete as well as this improved my work and organisation therefore a important part of my final outcome. for this I have completed a production schedule, shot list, mind map, storyboard and risk assessment.

overall

overall my final productions worked to plan with the visuals and audio synced and any missed cuts were resolved. my pre-production went well helping keeping me organised and planned in time for my deadline. I managed to have my a completed blog as well as a successful video and all the required documents.
